Info for Individuals Seeking Housing to Own

This page is intended for families who want to buy a home for their own occupancy (as opposed to investors).

For families interested in buying their first home, but need help with a portion of the monthly mortgage or other homeownership expenses, there is a program called the Homeownership Voucher Program from HUD.

Your local Public Housing Agency will have more information. They don't all participate in the program. You can find your local agency on the HUD web site.

A summary of federal housing assistance programs as of August 2007 is provided from the National Coalition for the Homeless (PDF download

If you are unable to buy a house at this time, and you are looking for an apartment or other rental housing for your family, please see our page: Help with Rental Housing

See the residential properties currently offered by Cherokee for sale or lease. Any property displayed on this web site is owned by Cherokee, we are not brokers.

Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization that seeks to reduce homelessness, and provide affordable, quality home ownership opportunities.
