This page is intended for families who want to buy a home for their own occupancy (as opposed to investors).

For families interested in buying their first home, but need help with a portion of the monthly mortgage or other homeownership expenses, there is a program called the Homeownership Voucher Program from HUD.

Your local Public Housing Agency will have more information. They don't all participate in the program. You can find your local agency on the HUD web site.
