Cherokee is a service business similar to a bank or law firm. As such we purchase all the things you'd expect an office to buy, from office supplies and printing to machines. When possible we do business with small, local vendors, and then give preference to woman-owned businesses. These purchase preferences are not based on any requirement, but simply our desire to support local businesses and create opportunities for small and disadvantaged firms.
Cherokee is a real estate developer. We renovate commercial and residential properties. Most of our needs are met with our own construction crews (see Our Capabilities ) although we do hire subcontractors for specialty trades such as electrical and plumbing, and we use outside professionals for land use, design and engineering.
